Here we’ll detail the steps on applying RockTape Kinesiology Tape to the low back. This application is a great way to provide support and cue proper posture. Using our 4 inch big daddy tape can help cover a wider surface area and create a stronger anchor. Start with 4 inch wide tape and measure from the belt-line up to mid-back. With our standard 2 inch tape, measure a second strip from one hip to the other. Round the tape’s corners to avoid catching on gear or clothing. To create a Split Y, cut down the center leaving about 2 inches at the end, this end will be the anchor. Stretch the skin by bending at the hips, using a sturdy surface for support. With the Y Strip, tear the release paper off the 4 inch end, then anchor to the belt line. sThe two inch strips should face up. Pull away the release paper from one of the 2 inch sections and apply towards the adjacent shoulder. Repeat for the remaining 2 inch section, creating a V. Rub to activate the adhesive. Tear the center of the second strip to expose the adhesive. Then, with slight stretch, apply at the painful area perpendicular to the Y Strip. Lay down the ends with no stretch, then rub to activate the adhesive. Using 4 inch tape as the horizontal strip is optional. Thanks for watching!
