Hi I’m Doctor Heather Moore owner of Total
Performance Physical Therapy, today we’re going to go through the top 3 low back pain
relief exercises now if these exercises cause you anymore pain you want to stop and call
your health care professional but these are for the uncomfortable pain that you feel in
the end of the day if you feel like you’re stiff, you wake up stiff these exercises are
going to help loosen you up, you want to do these 30 seconds, 6 times each, you can do
them multiple times throughout the day, you can do them one time throughout the day but
these are just to get the blood flowing to the muscle. The first one you’re going to do is get
on your hands and knees, you’re going to stretch your arms straight out and you’re
going to sit back, drop your head, you’re going to feel a gentle stretch all down the
back, now once you move your hands from side to side to get stretched on one side that’s
fine hold that also for 30 seconds and do 6 of those nice and easy. The next exercise that you can do for low
back pain relief is a double knee to chest so you’re just going to lay down making
before you go out of bed and just hug your knees nice and easy again 30 seconds, 6 times
when you do this you want to make sure you lower one leg down at a time and bring it
up one leg at a time, doing this, doing this is actually doing double work out and if your
back is already sore it could actually aggravate your back. The final exercise that you want to do for
low back pain relief is the cross over stretch so all you’re going to do is lay back cross
your ankle over your knee, pull your knee up to your chest nice and easy again, hold
that 30 seconds 6 times and you’re going to do each side that stretch can also be done
sitting up just cross your ankle over your knees sit up nice and straight and lean forward,
you’re going to feel a stretch at the back of your leg n the butt, all the way into the
