how to reduce stress in college

Hello everybody it can be incredibly hard to deal with stress during college or school So I’m here to give you a few tips on how I manage to control it and survive law school For school advice and tips follow me on Instagram and Tumblr where I post every day Also, don’t forget subscribe and click the bell button to get notified for all my back to school videos coming up this summer I will post twice a week until the mid of September so you can kick start your school year fully prepared For a full schedule just check the description box below in case you’re curious about a specific topic Keeping stress so minimum relies mainly on your ability to maintain routines throughout the semester It’s particularly important to track your sleep and try to maintain a good average of hours of sleep per day or week Your sleep resets your body and your stress levels and without a good resetting ritual you won’t be prepared to deal with stress efficiently There are a few ways to improve your sleep habits The basic tip is to try to go to bed at the same hour each day And wake up at the same time as well on a regular basis To make sure you keep on track with your schedule Try to set alarms on your phone to get reminded of when you should start getting ready to go to bed Instead of relying on the pre-installed alarm clock sounds in your phone Set up the alarm to play some soft relaxing music in the mornings instead of a more unsettling sound If you have trouble sleeping you can try installing a sleep cycle app like sleep cycle Or sleep buttons that track your sleep patterns and wake you in the end of your sleep cycle Know when to give yourself a break Today we set high goals for ourselves And we sometimes get lost in an endless loop of studying, work and stress because we just don’t know when to stop One of the best tips I’ve heard is actually from Michelle Phan Who said that when her laptop battery reaches zero in the evening it was her signal to stop working as well If a machine wasn’t able to support any more work for that day before recharge Then perhaps the brain can’t as well, so we shouldn’t push ourselves outside of our own natural boundaries and know when to stop Do something new once in a while, a good routine is essential to keep our sanity But knowing how to break it can be the key on how to reduce stress once and for all Perhaps you don’t have money to travel or go on a road trip, but that doesn’t mean you can’t learn new things and places Experiment studying in a different coffee shop than usual boots will walk in another neighborhood Change your studying playlists, rearrange the furniture in your bedroom, read a book on a completely random subject there are a ton of small things that can create a change in your Lifestyle that breaks the routine and work as a breath of fresh air into your life Get accustomed to getting things out of your head and into paper or your computer screen Mekka lists use a planner or notebook You name it visualization is key to reduce stress sing all the tasks you have to get done in front of you Arranging it by date week or hour Enables you to have a better grasp How you’ll get your work done, and how long it will take you to do it the planner? You are seeing here is this year’s supplied by Lily desk planner It has inspirational quotes places to write down of your college related tasks tests and exams As well as monthly and weekly layouts you can plan according to your preference Your state of mind can be improved according to the atmosphere you surround yourself with I’ve given a few tips on my past video on how I organize my study space in order to feel more productive And relaxed at the same time One of the things I highly suggest is reading about Higa The Danish way of setting and arranging a comfortable space and life It’s difficult to translate its true meaning to English But if you would like to know how I try to incorporate these principles in my life as a student I’ll gladly do a video on that Also get minimal. I started adopting a more minimalistic lifestyle two years ago, and I can’t explain to you how much it improved my life Being able to cut down things that is essential frees your mind from tons of useless information and stress as you know Minimalism can be incorporated into everything, but in studying for me at least translates into simpler planning systems with less stickers colors and decorations And it also translates to functional note-taking methods the essential school supplies and the ability to filter notes Documents and books into what you really need to learn an excel So these are my tips on how to have a more relaxed semester this year For more college tips and advice don’t forget subscribe to my channel, and I’ll see you next Friday. Bye

Please do a video on how you're arranging your space using that swedish saying. I'm sure I would get some inspiration

I'm currently interested in minimalism and hygge, and I will try to apply it to my lifestyle this year so any video on that kind of subject would make me happy ??

Sooo, is using different colors for definitions, main ideas, etc. and drawing doodles and little pics a bad thing?!

Your videos are literally the same sequences in all of them in different orders and so even if you say interesting things what you say doesn't match what you show (not always) except for when you "sell" a product and it is really disappointing

It was a surprise to see you mention "hygge"! I'm danish so I know all about it 🙂 and studying can be "hyggeligt" in the right surroundings. In the smaller classes I take (30 p) we usually take turns bringing cake to everyone in class. The first thing done at the beginning of the semester is to make the list of whos bringing when 😀 I dont know if its specially Danish, but it really is hygge! Btw.. hygge is a big part of why we need to ride the bike all the time, otherwise we would get overweight so fast 😀
