Even the slightest level of dehydration could cause headache and fatigue: Study

During these hot summer days, it’s easy to
get dehydrated from time to time,… but studies have shown that being even slightly dehydrated
could cause headaches or fatigue. According to series of studies conducted by
the University of Connecticut’s Human Performance Laboratory,… even a one percent shortage
of water in the body could alter people’s mood and mental ability. At very mild dehydration levels,… defined
as only 1-point-5 percent of water loss in the body,… the test group experienced headaches,
fatigue, difficulty in concentrating, and poor memory skills. The research team added that people feel thirsty
when they are already one or two percent dehydrated,… at which point its too late to avoid the effects
of dehydration. Experts advise the public to drink eight glasses
of water a day,… to properly stay hydrated at all times.
