Hi! I’m Dr. Eric Sayer from Sayer Family Chiropractic.
I’m here on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment, we’re going to talk about types of
medications that you can take in order to help with a strained back. The most common
and probably ones that I would personally use would be over the counters, very simple
way to do it. Ibuprofen, acetaminophen, which is commonly known as Tylenol, or some over
the counter medications and inflammatories that are going to help decrease the inflammation
and also the pain of that low back or that strain. There are other over the counters
that are possible, but those are the most common. Of course, if you’re going to use
those, you need to make sure they don’t interact with other medications and that you’re able
to use those medications. The over the counter medications will definitely help relieve some
of the pain and relieve some of the inflammation. They will not all the time fix or cure the
low back strain. They’re just more of a masking. They definitely help. It all just depends
on how severe, how intense this problem is. For most little tweaks or strains, they’re
a great option to start with.
